Becoming More Eco-Friendly

Soul Purpose has dedicated itself to become a green company from ground up. By using botanically based, organic products, this company will make it easier on the atmosphere. Soul Purpose will also use recycled paper, vegetable-based inks and a recycling program for all of our product containers for our customers and distributors.
Now that may seem like a lofty sentiment to some, but I as a not only a representative of Soul Purpose, but as mint green consumer(I would like to be more green but I am not there yet). I am making the commitment to decrease my footprint on the earth.

Some of the things I intend to do in my Soul Purpose biz are as follows:

• To Purchase recylced packaging and bags
• To use recycled paper
• To purchase from others who are eco friendly
• To use and re-use recycled packing and mailing materials when appropriate
• Recycling printer cartridges

That is all I can think of for now but I am open and willing to receive more ideas!

Be Your Own Best Customer

There is a phrase my upline uses all the time.  She will say, “Facts tell, stories sell!”  True indeed.  How many times have you bought a product based on someone’s recommendation?  If I am at Whole Foods and someone is helping me in the nutrition aisle, the first thing I ask them is, “Have you tried this yourself?”  And usually the answer I get feels honest.  They will go on to tell me how it made them feel good or bad or perhaps they can steer me to a different product.  Facts tell, stories sell.  They didn’t give me all the marketing rah-rah about the product, I can get that myself from reading the side of the box.  No, they gave me their testimonial.

How does that help in your business, you must and I repeat, must become your own best customer.  This way, you can give your own honest opinion about what you believe worked for you, how it made you feel and so on. ” But I can’t afford to.”  You may be thinking but I ask, how can you not?

If you plan to make any real income with your side hustle, you must.  The best way to do this is with Auto-Ship.  Auto-Ship will allow you experience all the products your company has to offer and over time you can pick your favs.  If you are still daunted by the thought of the Auto-Ship process think of the things you already purchase and make the commitment to purchase them from yourself.  Soon you will be generating higher sales because your honest testimonial positions you as an expert on the products you sell.

Her Purpose

In Her Purpose, I will be featuring  women who have chosen to empower themselves by doing what they love.  This week, I would like to introduce Myisha Croom-Turner of Brace Yourself Boutique.

Brace Yourself Boutique is a small, independent company based in Southern California. Brace Yourself was created in 2007 by Myisha Croom–Turner when her self-taught skill making jewelry resulted in a means to earn extra cash. Through her love of nature, travel, and fashion, she began designing numerous bracelets to reflect her many inspirations and style. Her goal has been to create jewelry that is timeless and transcends the changing trends. Her designs are original, earthy and collaborate well with everything from cotton to couture. In May of 2007, Myisha started preparing for her first marketplace showing in Los Angeles, and to date has participated in several craft fairs, and trade shows throughout California. In November of 2007 she created an indie shopping extravaganza for women called “Sip N’ Shop” Girls Night Out that showcased women business owners and designers.

The Manifestation of My Soul Purpose…

…Or, you never know what your gonna get.

In 2004,  I started a company called Spiritual Garden.  At this time I was making handcrafted lotions, body butters and scrubs using natural ingredients.  I even went to classes and wrote a business plan.  The vision I had for this company was huge.  I wanted to help women to care for and empower themselves, coach on wellness and everything.

I am thinking about this now because I saw an old friend that I haven’t talked to in a while and she asked me if I was still doing that business.

Anyway, I started thinking about that business and I realized that Soul Purpose is the company I have always wanted to start.  I wanted my company to use all natural ingredients, the best oils and butters for the skin, I wanted to make soy candles and offer handcrafted journals and wellness products.  I found that was a huge undertaking for me to do especially with young children, a husband, a full-time job and just some time for me to unwind.  After a while, I stopped making those items for sale to the public, although  my body scrub was the truth if I say so myself.

In the meantime because I am a restless spirit, unless I am creating with my hands, I started making jewelry, keeping with the theme of inner beauty first, healing properties of gemstones and choosing your adornments based on how you feel.  All the while still looking for ways to empower myself and women in general.

This is where Soul Purpose comes into play.  Just the vision of the company had me intriqued, I like the philosophies, I liked the name of the company, the ingredients, all of it.  I signed up without smelling one thing, or even knowing how I was going to be paid.   This would be the company I wanted to start if I had the time and finances to bring about.  The wonderful thing is, I am a part of this company, a part of the vision and I dont have to make these products in my kitchen, the materials are already there, and I still get to empower women and myself in the process.  It is just a quicker and easier way for my dream to manifest. 

This just goes to show you that everything that happens is not good or bad, it just is and it all works together for your greater good if you allow it.
